IT’S YOUR TIME TO GROW

Welcome! I’m Katie (she/her).

I’m crazy about plants, throwing on my pottery wheel, my four pets (can never say no to a stray), renovating our old house, and reading every book I can get my nose into. After working through many of my own struggles through high school and college, I saw how meaningful it was to have someone who sees you and fights for your healing. My experiences led me to my dream job - being able to be that person for someone else.

I graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2019 and completed my thesis on experiences of trauma from a family member or loved one. My thesis was the beginning of my passion about working with complex trauma, especially healing from relationships where we’ve been betrayed - and my work with complex trauma landed me right into eating disorder care. I care deeply about treating the “whole” person. Both eating disorders and trauma experiences profoundly affect physical, emotional, and relational health, and I love being able to do the difficult work to support someone in recovering from an eating disorder or complex trauma experiences.

I have worked in all levels of care, including community mental health, eating disorder intensive outpatient care, partial hospitalization care, and residential care prior to moving into my own practice. My experience with different levels of severity allows me to meet you where you’re at. I am a Heath at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating/anti-diet, LGBTQIA+ affirming practitioner. I like to take a supportive approach to therapy where we work as a team - you’re the expert on your life and I’m here to help you learn more about yourself and give you the skills that you need to keep moving forward.
